Find a zero of the polynomial p(x)=2x+1....

Find a zero of the polynomial `p(x)=2x+1`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

For any value `a` to be a zero of polynomial `p(x)`, `p(a)` should be 0.
Here, `p(x) = 2x+1`
So,`p(a)=2a+1`
`=>2a+1=0=>a=-1/2`
So, `-1/2` is zero of given polynomial.
