Two trains A and B are moving with same speed of 100km//hr .Train A moves towards east and train B moves towards west.An an instant when the trains are moving side by side, an aeroplane files above the trains horizontally. For the passengers in the train A , the plane appears to fly from North to South direction. For the passengers in the train B , the plane appears to fly in a direction making an angle 60^(@) to North-South direction.

Two posts are k metres apart. If from the middle point of the line joining their feet, an observer finds the angles of elevations of their tops to be 60^(@) and 30^(@) respectively, then the ratio of heiht of the posts respectively is

An enemy air plane is flying horizontally at an altitude of 2.7km with a speed of 250ms^(-1) .An army man on the ground observed it when it is directly over his head.He fired an anti-aircraft gun with a muzzle speed of 500ms^(-1) ,such that the shell hits the plane. At what angle with the horizontal, gun should be fired?

An enemy plane is flying horizontally at an altitude of 2km with a speed of 300 ms^(-1) .An army man with an anti-aircraft gun on the ground sights enemy plane when it is directly overhead and fires a shell with a muzzle speed of 600ms^(-1) .At what angle with the vertical should the gun be fired so as to hit the plane?

By the term velocity of rain, we mean velocity with which raindrops fall relative to the ground. In absence of wind, raindrops fall vertically and in presence of wind raindrops fall obliqucly. Moreover raindrops acquire a constant terminal velocity due air resistance very quickly as they fall toward the carth. A moving man relative to himself observes an altered velocity of raindrops. Which is known as velocity of rain relative to the man. It is given by the following equation. vec(v)_(rm)=vec(v)_(r)-vec(v)_(m) A standstill man relative to himself observes rain falling with velocity, which is equal to velocity of the raindrops relative to the ground. To protect himself a man should his umbrella against velocity of raindrops relative to himself as shown in the following figure. Rain is falling vertically with velocity 80 cm/s. (a) How should you hold your umbrella ? (b) You start walking towards the east with velocity 60 cm/s. How should you hold umbrella ? (c) You are walking towards the west with velocity 60 cm/s. How should you hold your umbrella ? (d) You are walking towards the north with velocity 60 cm/s. How should you hold your umbrella? (e) You are walking towards the south with velocity 80 cm/s. How should you hold your umbrella ?

In the following questions there are 6 check-posts A, B,C, D, E and F. Check-post F is 15 km to the North of D which is 25 km to the North East of B.
