What is area of circle?

The region which is occupied by the circle in a 2-dimensional plane is known as the area of a circle. One can determine the area of a circle by using the formula A =2 πr2 Here, ‘r’ denotes the radius of the circle.  Measuring the space which is occupied by a circular field or a plot becomes easier by making use of the area formula. It is also possible to calculate the perimeter as well as the area of the circle with the use of different formulas. It is also important to understand that a circle does not have a volume that creates confusion in the minds of the students. It is because the volume is not present in a circle, since circle is a 2-D shape and not a 3-D solid figure.
