Wavelength of 1 st line in lyman series is,

or `lamda_(L)=(4)/(3xxR_(H)Z^(2))`
Difference `lamda_(B)-lamda_(L)=59.3xx10^(-7)=(36)/(5R_(H)Z^(2))-(4)/(3R_(H)Z^(2))`
`=(1)/(R_(H)Z^(2))[(36)/(5)-(4)/(3)]`
`Z^(2)=(88)/(59.3xx10^(-7)xx109678xx15)=9.0`
