In Kjeldahl's method, nitrogen present is estimated as `:`

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
B

In this method the nitrogen present is quantitatively converted into `(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)` on heating with conc. `H_(2)SO_(4)`. The `(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)` is then treated with standard alkali solution to liberate `NH_(3)`, which is absorbed in `H_(2)SO_(4)` to obtain percentage of nitrogen.
