Give examples and explain what is meant by external fertilisation.

Explanation

(1) If the fertilisation occurs outside the body of the female organism then it is called external fertilisation.
(2) The female lays a lagre number of eggs in water and at the same time male releases some millions of sperms on to them in water.
(3) External fertilisation is seen the fish, frog and earthworm etc.
