1) Some people keep a plastic bag in dustbins to discard waste. This is for their convenience in discarding.
2) But it is not at all a good practice.
3) Plastic is non-biodegradable, takes several years to mix with the soil.
4) When plastic bags are discarded along with the waste. They never mix with soil, and causes soil pollution.
5) When vegetable waste is discarded in plastic bag, if any animal feed on it, they enter into their stomach and cause problem.
6) If they are discarded into drainages, they block the flow of sewage water, stagnation of drainage waste creates unhygenic conditions, helps mosquito growth and causes diseases.
7) If this waste reaches soil, pollution of soil occurs which deplets soil health.
