Difference between multimolecular and macromolecular colloieds

Colloidal sol of sulphur `(S_(8))` is an example of multimolecular colloid while colloidal sol of starch represents macromolecular colloid.
Associated colloids also called miclles, are generally electroltes. They exist as ions at low concentration. However, above a particular concentration called critical micellear concentration (CMC) and above a particular temperature called Kraft temperature `(T_(k)),` these get associated and exhibit collloidal behaviour. Soap is a common example of assocuated colloids. For more detais, consult Section 17.
