What is the vlue ( in litres) of `CO_2` liberated at STP when 2.12 g of sodium carbonate (mol.wt.106) is treated with

A

2.28 l

B

0.448 l

C

44.8 l

D

22.4 l

The correct Answer is:
c

` underset((106g))(Na_2CO_3)+2HCl to underset ((22.4 L))(NaCl+H_2+CO_2)`
Excess HCl adde to 106g of `Na_2CO_3` gives 22.4 L `CO_2` then addition of HCl to 2.12 g `Na_2CO_3`eill give br>`=(22.4xx2.12)/(106)`
`=0.448 L CO_2`
`therefore 0.448 L ` of `CO_2` is liberated.
