Assertion (A) Order and molecularity are...

Assertion (A) Order and molecularity are same.
Reason (R) Order is determined experimentally and molecularity is the sum of the stoichiometric coefficient of rate determining elementary step.

A

Both assertion and reason are correct and the reason in correct explanation of assertion.

B

Both assertaion and reason are correct, but the reason does not explain essertion

C

Assertion is correct but reason is incorrect

D

Assertion is incorrect, but reason is correct

Text Solution

Assertion is incorrect and reason is correct.
Order and mclecular ty may or may not be same as order of react on is sum of power of reactant which can be determined experimentally. But molecularity is sum of stoichiometric oefficient of rate determining ellementary step.
