The mode and mean are 26.6 and 28.1 respectively in an asymmetrical distribution . Find out the value of median .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given : Mode (Z) = 26.6, Mean `overline((X))=28.1`
Z=3M- `overline(2X)`
Substituting the values , we get
`26. 6=3M-2xx28.1`
`rArr26.6=3M-56.2`
`rArr3M=26.6+56.2=82.8`
`rArrM=(82.8)/(3)=27.6`
Median Value =27.6.
