The size of land holdings of 380 families in a village is given below . Find the median size of land holdings.
`{:("Size of Land Holidings (in acres)","Less than 100",100-200,200-300,300-400,"400 and above" ),("Number of Families"," "40," " 89," "148," "64," "39):}`

M= size of `((N)/(2))` th item
=Size of `((380)/(2))` th item = Size of 190 th item
190 th item lies in the 277 th cumulative frequency and the corresponding class interval is 200-300.
`M=l_(1)+(N/(2)-c.f.)/(f)xxi`
`=200+(380/(2)-129)/(148)xx100`
`=200+(190-129)/(148)xx100`
`=200+(61)/(148)xx100`
`=200+41.22=241.22`
Therefore , Median =241 . 220]

Looking performance, she found that a few students got under 20 marks and a few got 70 marks or above. So she decided to group them into intervals of varying sizes as follows : 0-20, 20-30, ....., 60-70, 70-100.
