[Given : `barX`=200, `sigma`=40, N=50
This is a case of change of origin since each worker is given a raise of ₹ 20. Change of origin will affect the value of mean but not that of standard deviation. Therefore, in this case, new mean will be:
New `barX="Old "barX+20`
=200+20
=220
while,
New `sigma`=Old `sigma`
=40
Hence, `" " "New" barX=220`
New`sigma`=40
Standard deviation being constant, wages show the same amount of uniformilty.]
