Find the equation of a line whose slope ...

Find the equation of a line whose slope is `3` intersects `X`-axis on left side at a distance of `2` untis from origin.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here `m=3`
This line passes through the point `(-2,0)`
Therefore, the equation of the line is
`y-y_(1)=m(x-x_(1))`
`implies y-0=3(x+2)`
`implies 3x-y+6=0`.
