What is an adiabatic wall ?...

What is an adiabatic wall ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

An adiabatic wall is a thermodynamic barrier which does not allow transfer of heat energy between the two system via the wall.
e.g A gas enclosed in a non-conducting cylinder does not exchange heat with the surroundings The walls of nonconducting cylinder are adiabatic walls.
