Hallwachs and Lenard observed the ultraviolet radiation were allowed to fall on the emitter Plate of an evacuated tube enclosing two metal electrodes, current flows in the circuit. Hallwachs and Lenard also observed that when ultraviolet light made to incident on a emitter plate, on electrons were emitted at all when the frequency of incident light was smaller than a certain minimum value called the threshold frequency.
