Which of the two can be zero under certain conditions : average speed of a moving body or average velocity of a moving body ?

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
Average velocity

Average velocity of a moving body can be zero. For eg: when body is moving in a circular path, its displacement is zero, so average velocity can also be zero. Average speed cannot be zero of a moving body
