State two ways to prevent the rusting of iron.

(i) Rusting of iron can be prevented by painting. In this process, a coat of paint is applied all over the surface of iron object to keep the air and moisture away.
(ii) Rusting of iron can be prevented by galvanisation. In this process, a thin layer of zinc metal is deposited over the surface of iron object to prevent the air and moisture from coming in contact with it.
