Two nuclei have mass numbers in the ratio 8 : 125. Calculate the ratio of their nuclear radii.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`R_1=8 , R_2=125`
`R_1=R_0A^(1//2) " " R_2=R_0A_2^(1//2)`
`R_1/R_2=((8)^(1//2))/((125)^(1//2))=2//5`
i.e., 2:5.
