(a) Highly focussed UV radiations are used in eye surgery (LASIK - Laser Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis).
(b) UV rays are used in sterilization of air water, surgical instruments.
The other uses: UV rays are used in molecular spectroscopy, identification of artificial gems from rcal gems. Note: Ordinary glass absorbs UV radiations.
