At what temperature will both celsius an...

At what temperature will both celsius and fahrenheit scales read the same value?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let that temperature be x, then
` (c-0)/(100-0)=(F-32)/(212-32)`
Now put C=F=x
or `(x-0)/(100-0)=(x-32)/(180)`
,x=-40
So,at -`40^(@)C`,Fahrenheit reading is also-`40^(@)F`
