Force of `5sqrt(2)` and `6sqrt(2)` N are acting on a body of mass 1000 kg at an angle `60^(@)` to each other calculate (i) acceeration velocity and (ii) distcne coverd by other body after 10s

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Resultant force
`F= sqrt(F_(1)^(2) + F_(2)^(2) + 2F_(1) F_(2) cos theta)`
`= sqrt(50+ 72 +60) = sqrt(182) =13.49 N`
(i) Acceleration `a=(F )/( m )`
`=(13.49)/(1000) = 0.01349 ms^(-2)`
(ii) velocity
`v=u + ar`
= 0 + 0.01349 `xx 10`
= 0.1349 `ms^(-1)`
(iii) distance covered `s=ut + (1)/(2) at^(2)`
`s= 0 + (1)/(2) xx 0 .01349 xx (10)^(2)`
`=0.6745 m`
