What is meant by periodic and non-periodic motion ? Give any two examples , for each motion ?

(i) Any motion that repeats itself in a fixed time interval is known as periodic motion.
Eg: Hands in pendulum clock, swing of a cradle.
(iii) Any motion that does not repeat itself after a regular interval of times is known as non-periodic motion.
Eg: Occurance of Earth quake, eruption of valcano.
