What is the effect of pressure on velocity of sound in gas?

For a cixed temperature, when the pressure varies, correspondigly density also varies such that the ratio `((p)/(rho))` becomes constant. It is meant that the speed of sound is independent of pressure for a fixed temperature. If the temperature remains same at the top and the bottom of mountains then the speed of sound will remain same at thesw two points. temperature are not same at top and bottom of mountain. So the speed of sound is different at different pionts.
