Value of acceleration due to gravity is ...

Value of acceleration due to gravity is `9.8m//sec^(2)`. Find its value in `km//hr^(2)`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`n_(1)=n_(2)[(L_(2))/(L_(1))]^(1)[(T_(2))/(T_(1))]^(-2)`.
Given `n_(2)=9.8`
`therefore n_(1)=9.8 [(1m)/(1km)]^(1)[(1 sec)/(1hr)]^(-2)`
`=9.8[(1m)/(1000m)]^(1)[(1 sec)/(60xx60sec)]^(-2)`
`n_(1)=9.8[(1)/(1000)xx60xx60xx60xx60]`
`n_(1)=98xx36xx36=127008`
`therefore g=127008km//hr^(2)`
