Given : t = 2s
Formula :
Area of triangle ` = (1)/(2) xx l xx b`
= displacement
In the graph 0 to 2s is divided into 2 triangle ,
Case I : t = 0 to 1 . 5 s
Area ` =(1)/(2) xx (1.5) xx 2 = 1.5`
Case II : t = 1 . 5 to 2s
Area ` =(1)/(2) xx (0.5) xx 1 = (0.5)/(2)`
= 0 . 25
`:. ` Distance = 1.5 + 0 . 25 = 1.75 m
Displacement = 0 . 25 - 1.5 = - 1.25 m
