The velocity of a particle is given by t...

The velocity of a particle is given by the equation, `v = 2t^(2) + 5 cms^(-1) ` . Find
the average acceleration during the time interval between`t_(1) = 2s and t_(2) = 4s` .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given ` v = (2 t^(2) +5) cms^(-1)`
Average acceleration
`a_(av) = (v_(2) - v_(1))/(t_(2) - t_(1)) = (37 - 13)/(4 - 2)`
` = 12 cms ^(-2)`
