Given : Speed of the bullet = 350 m/s
i.e., u = 350 m/s
s = 5 cm
v = 0 m/s
a = ?
Formula : `v^(2) = u^(2) + 2as`
`rArr 0 = u^(2) + 2as`
`(or) u^(2) = - 2as`
`a = (-u^(2))/(2s)`
Deceleration ` a = (-350 xx 350)/(2 xx 0.5)`
`= - 12.25 xx 10 ^(5) m//sec^(2)`
Negative answer represents retardation.
