How does the use of ball bearing reduces friction

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Ball bearing provides another effective way to reduce the kinetic firiction in machines . If ball bearing are fixed between two surface during the relative motion only the rolling friction come to effect and not kinetic friction . Since the rolling friction is much smaller than kinetic fricition the machines are protected from wear and tear over the years.
