We can cut vegetables easily with a sharp knife as compared to a blunt knife. Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The area of the sharp knife is much less than the area of a blunt knife. For the applied force, pressure is more in sharp knife, (since area is less) so it cuts better.
