Pendulums of two different length are suspended from an elastic chord. If one is set in oscillation will there be any resonance ? Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

There will no be any resonance. Because the length of the pendulum is different. Therefore time periods of two different lengthed pendulums vary. Therefore their frequencies are different and so they are not in resonance.
