A cylinder of 10 kg is sliding in a plane with an initial velocity of 10 m / s . If the coefficient of friction between the surface and cylinder is 0.5 then before stopping, it will cover. `(g=10m//s^(2))`

A

10m

B

7.5m

C

5m

D

2.5m

The correct Answer is:
A

`f=0.5xx100=50N`
acc. `=(50)(100)=5 m//s^(2)`
`v^(2)-u^(2)=20s`
`0-(10)^(2)=2(-5)s`
`therefore s=10m`
