If two mirrors are keps at `60^circ` to each other, then the number of images formed by them is

A

5

B

6

C

7

D

8

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

The formula for the number of images formed by two inclined mirrors, inclined at angle `theta` is
`N = (360)/(theta) -1`
If `(360)/(theta)` = even whereas `N = (360)/(theta) "If" (360)/(theta)` = odd
For `theta = 60^(@) , N = (360)/(60) = 6 `
Hence , N = 6-1 = 5
