Sodium cholride (NaCI) is a non-volatile solute, When added to water to taken in a beaker, the solute occupies some surgace are. As a result, the vapour pressure decreses and the boiling point of water increses. On the other hand, methyl alcohol in more volatile then water. The addition of methyl alcohol to water increses the toral vapour pressure of dthe solution. The boiling point of the water decreses.
