If A; B are invertible matrices of the s...

If A; B are invertible matrices of the same order; then show that `(AB)^-1 = B^-1 A^-1`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

True
we kn ow that , if A and B are inversible matrices of the same order, then
`(AB)^(-1)=(BA)^(-1) [becauseAB=BA]`
Here, `(AB)-^(-1)=(AB)^(-1)`
`rArr B^(-1)A^(-1)=A^(-1)B^(-1)`
