Solve the following quadratic equation :
`4sqrt3x^(2)+5x-2sqrt3=0`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given equation is
`4sqrt3x^(2)+5x-2sqrt3=0`
`implies4sqrt3x^(2)+(8-3)x-2sqrt3=0`
`implies4sqrt3x^(2)+8x-3x-2sqrt3=0`
`implies4x(sqrt3x^(2)+2)-sqrt3(sqrt3x+2)=0`
`implies(sqrt3x+2)(4x-sqrt3)=0`
`impliessqrt3x+2=0or4x-sqrt3=0`
when `impliessqrt3x+2=0impliesx=(-2)/(sqrt3)`
and `4x-sqrt3=0impliesx=sqrt(3)/(4)`
Hence, `(-2)/sqrt(3)andsqrt(3)/(4)` are roots of the equation.
