L.H.S. `=q(p^(2)-1)`
`=(sectheta+"cosec"theta){(sintheta+costheta)^(2)-1}`
`=((1)/(costheta)+(1)/(sintheta)) (sin^(2)theta+cos^(2)theta+2sinthetacostheta-1)`
`=((1)/(costheta)+(1)/(sintheta)) (1+2sinthetacostheta-1)`
`=((1)/(costheta)+(1)/(sintheta)) *2sinthetacostheta`
`=2((sinthetacostheta)/(costheta)+(sinthetacostheta)/(sintheta))=2(sintheta+costheta)=2p=R.H.S.`
