Show that x=2,y=1, satisfy the linear equation 7x+4y=18

Substitution x = 2,y =1 in the L.H.S of the given equation .we get
L.H.S = `7xx2+4xx1=18`=R.H.S.
`therefore` x=2 and y =1 satisfy the given linear equation .
