The volume of a cylindrical tub is 6160 ...

The volume of a cylindrical tub is `6160 m^(3)`. If the diameter of its base is 28 m, then find its depth.

Text Solution

Here, 2r = 28
`rArr r = 14m`
Let the depth of cylindrical tub = h m
Now, volume `= 6160 m^(3)`
`rArr pi r^(2)h=6160`
`rArr (22)/(7)xx14xx14xxh=6160`
`rArr h=(6160xx7)/(22xx14xx14)=10 m`
`therefore` Depth of tub = 10 m
