`264m^(2)` cloth is used in a conical tent. If its slant height is 12 m, then find its height.

Here, slant height l = 12 m
Now, `pi rl = 264`
`rArr (22)/(7)xx r xx12=264`
`rArr r = 7 m`
Now, `h^(2)+r^(2)=l^(2)`
`rArr h^(2)=l^(2)-r^(2)`
`=12^(2)-7^(2)`
`=144-49`
= 95
`rArr h = sqrt(95)=9.75 m`
`rArr h=sqrt(95)=9.75 m`
`therefore` Heightof cone `= 9.75 m`
