Calculation of New Profit-sharing Ratio:
Old Profit-sharing Ratio of A and B `=5:3or(5)/(8):(3)/(8)`
Let the total share =1, C's share `=(1)/(4)`, Remaining share of A and B `=1-(1)/(4)=(3)/(4)`
Distribute the remaining share of `(3)/(4)` in the old profit-sharing ratio of 5:3 between A and B.
A's New share `=(3)/(4)xx(5)/(8)=(15)/(32)`, B's New share `=(3)/(4)xx(3)/(8)=(9)/(32)`, C's share `=(1)/(4)or(8)/(32)`
Thus, New Profit-sharing Ratio of A and B `C=(15)/(32):(9)/(32):(8)/(32)=15:9:8`.
Since, only share of the new partner is given C acquires his share from A and B in their old profits. Calculate New ratio.
