A cricketer of height `2.5 m` thrown a ball at an angle of `30^(@)` with the horizontal such that it is received by another crickerter of same height standing at distance of `50m` from the first one.Find the maximum height attained by the ball.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let the ball rise to an additional height H. the disatnce between the crickter is equal to R =50 m The angle of projection `theta_030^(@)`, we know that
`tan theta_0=(4H)/(R )`
`implies tan 30^(@)=(4H)/(50)`
`implies H=(50)/(4sqrt(3))cong7.2m`
Therefore the maximum height attained by the ball
