Both the isomeric haloalkanes have the molecular formula `C_(5)H_(11)Cl`. Their structural formulae are given:

We know that the brancking of the carbon atom chain tends to decrease the molecular size and van der waal's forces of attraction leading to decrease in boiling point. this means that straight chain isomer has higher boiling point than the branched chain isomer.
