The products of combustion of an aliphatic thiol (RSH) at 298 K are:

A

`CO_(2)(g), H_(2)O(g)` and `SO_(2)(g)`

B

`CO_(2)(g), H_(2)O(l)` and `SO_(2)(g)`

C

`CO_(2)(l), H_(2)O(l)` and `SO_(2)(g)`

D

`CO_(2)(g), H_(2)O(l)` and `SO_(2)(l)`

On combustion of RSH ( aliphatic and aromatic thio-alcohol ) at 298K the products obtained are, `CO_(2)(g), H_(2)O(l)`and `SO_(2)(g)`. It is logical to understand that combustion occurs at a high temperature and water must be obtained as a vapour but when the formed products are extrapolated to 298K then water must condense to form a liquid.
