As a result of addition of detergent to a liquid the angle of contact .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Detergents should have small angle of contact so that they have low surface tension and greater ability to wet a surface. Further as `h =(2Tcostheta)/("rpg")"i.e", theta` is small cos `theta` will be large so h i.e., penetration will be high.
