Why two boats moving in parallel directions close to each other get attracted?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to Bernoulli’s theorem for horizontal flow ` P+(1)/(2)pv^(2)=` constant. As speed of water between the ships is more than outside them pressure between them gets reduced & pressure outside is more so the excess pressure pushes the ships close to each other therefore they get attracted.
