Chloroplast: chlorophyll – to trap sunlight for photosynthesis. Chromoplasts : fat soluble carotenoids – gives yellow, orange or red colour to parts of plants (fruits, flowers etc.) Leucoplasts: colourless plastids – store nutrients, Amyloplasts (starch), elaioplasts (oils), aleuroplasts (proteins).
