Suppose we throw a die once, (i) What is the probability of getting a number greater than 4? (ii) What is the probability of getting a number less than or equal to 4 ?

i)Let us start with taking Outcomes (X)=1,2,3,4,5,6
Now,we know that in a dice throw number greater than 4 are 5 and 6. So total number of favourable outcomes =2 So P(x>4)=`2/6`=`1/3`

ii)Now,we know that in a dice throw number less than or equal to than 4 are `1,2,3 and 4`. So total number of favourable outcomes =4 So P(x<=4)=`4/6`=`2/3`
