A child has a die whose six faces show the letters as given below:A,B,C,D,E,A.The die is thrown once. What is the probability of getting (i) A?   (ii) D?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let us take Total number of faces on the die =6
Number of faces having A on it =2
Number of faces having D on it =1
So,P(getting A)=No. of faces having A/Total number of faces=`1/3`
P(getting D)=No. of faces having D/Total number of faces =`1/6`
