Calculate the masses of cane sugar and w...

Calculate the masses of cane sugar and water required to prepare 250 g of 25 % solution of cane sugar.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Mass percent = `("Mass of solute")/("Mass of solution")xx 100`
Mass percent = 25, Mass of solution = 250 g
`therefore` 25 = `("Mass of cane sugar (solute)")/((250g)) xx 100`
`therefore` Mass of cane sugar = `(25xx(250g))/(100)=62.5 g`
Mass of water = 250 - 62.5 = 187.5 g
